What’s your Love Language?

August 10, 2020

4. Receiving Gifts

When the topic of Love Language was introduced to me in my Health class, I thought that this one was the dumbest one. But over the years, I have realized how gift giving could be a form of love language. And it does not have to be anything big or expensive (even though you would receive MAJOR brownie points if it was expensive) – it could be as simple as buying them a little souvenir while you were away on a trip when they were not able to be there with you.

Buying random gifts for your partner is showing them that you thought about them at that particular moment you bought that item for them. In other words, you are thinking about them even when they are not around.

Any kind if gift would be nice, but let me tell you, this works BEST when you KNOW the person you are buying a gift for. If you get them something that is meaningful to them, it really hits different.
