Meet the Parents

April 28, 2020

This is an Appreciation post. (Lol at my dad’s “it’s a bird” face and my mom’s beautiful smile.)

I don’t know where to begin with this. The amount of sacrifices these two have made for me and their whole family is IMPECCABLE. From living their lives in the province of Batangas, Philippines – where they had no toilets, no showers, a land full of live stock, and nothing to play with but dirt and bugs and mango trees – to being well off in a beautiful home located in San Diego, California. Some people may not see them as being the most successful people in this world, but coming from living in the province to being able to make a living in one of the most expensive places in the United States, people back at their hometown look up to them. And I also look up to them for all their hard work and dedication just to provide a better life for my brothers and I, and all the generations that will come after us.

Just like any family, we have all gone through some bumps in the road. I know that raising a hard-headed, super spoiled little baby like me was not easy. But they still never gave up on me and provided all the Unconditional Love I needed. (Ya girl is about to start crying just thinking about what they have done for me.) Though people may see from the outside of how we treat each other, but they will NEVER understand the true bond that we share together as a family. I am SO blessed to have parents like them.

Thank you for giving me life on this earth and making sure I have everything that I need to be happy. I love you so much, mom and dad.
